In honor of Black History Month, we want to share Grapeland’s AAPEAC and PTA’s amazing movie night posters. Grizzly families gathered to watch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and celebrated African American superheroes who have made a great impact on our society. Celebrating creativity and history! Mrs. Hernandez from DW Long Elementary shared the incredible Black History Month student artwork displayed in the hallway for everyone to admire. Her class had a blast posing in front of it! Kudos to all of DW Long’s talented students who created these amazing pieces!


Our Etiwanda students are celebrating Black History Month in a meaningful way! Ms. Morrison and Mr. Horton's 8th grade classes at DCIS and Miss Vazquez's 4th grade class at Caryn both honored Frederick Douglass. Our 8th graders showcased how Frederick Douglass was an early media influencer, using the power of words to drive change, while our younger students learned about his legacy, what he stood for, and the impact he made on history.


Calling all local artists! Assembly District 50 is home to incredible talent, and they want to showcase the rich history of our cities through your artwork! From community landmarks to cultural traditions, our district is filled with diverse stories waiting to be told through art.
