Students in Mrs. White's 4th grade class at Perdew Elementary engaged in the "Save Fred" STEM Challenge. They used engineering, critical thinking, reasoning skills, and a whole bunch of collaborative teamwork to save Fred the gummy worm, who had fallen out of his boat and needed to get into his life-preserving ring. Way to go, Perdew Pioneers!

Samuel Matthew, Abheri Surredi, and Jupharnoor Singh are the top three spellers from last night, with Jupharnoor Singh, an eighth-grader from Heritage Intermediate, taking first place. #EtiwandaExcellence

Golden Elementary's PTA is getting a high five today for their membership drive. They have over 1,000 members, which is the most of any active PTA in San Bernardino County. Way to go, Golden Community!

4th graders from Grapeland Elementary had to construct a "bone bridge" out of clothes pins, Q-tips, pipe cleaners, and wooden skewers. What a cool STEM challenge!

In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day all Etiwanda Schools and the district office will be closed on Monday, January 16, 2023.

We asked a few of our students what their favorite classroom activity was. Jaylenne from DCIS loves GimKit, which is a fun game-show type of activity that encourages the students to collaborate and strategize to win. What a fun way to learn!

Mr. Worden is the newest addition to Etiwanda Colony and is our highlighted employee this week. He goes above and beyond his job description every single day and always has a smile on his face. We know that the students and staff at Etiwanda Colony appreciate Mr. Worden.

Kinsley, a first-grade student at Colony Elementary, says her favorite classroom activity is art because she loves to draw.

Mrs. Spezialy’s class at Etiwanda Colony made spider webs using string and the bottoms of their chairs to collect various insects for the spiders to eat. The goal was to create the best web that caught the most insects! Way to go! #stemintheclassroom
