Mrs. Bowman, an instructional aide and campus support at Terra Vista Elementary, is getting a high five today from her Timberwolves. Every Friday Mrs. Bowman brings out music and has a dance party with her 5th graders. Today she taught her students the Cupid Shuffle. How fun!

William Wu, an 8th grader from DCIS, is receiving a high five today. William represented the USA at the World Robotic Olympiad, which took place last month and featured 73 countries. His team received a silver medal. Wow! Well done, William.

Mrs. Patterson from West Heritage is giving John Delise from our M&O department a high five today! This week, he visited her classroom for a repair and knowing HVAC systems are very important to one of her students, he took the time to explain what the parts and pieces were of the system to her eager, excited, and now engaged student. She wants to thank John for making her student's day, week, and year so special, and help continue the love of learning through alternate means!

One of our outstanding Etiwanda teachers, Ms. Dietrich, routinely involves her students in computer science-related activities. This week, her students programmed a space alien game. Way to go!

For their Force & Motion Unit, Mr. Contreras' 8th grade class at DCIS designed and constructed a roller coaster that had to have at least one loop, one hill, a curve, and enough potential energy at the start to complete the entire track, which was 300 cm long. #stemintheclassroom

Our employee spotlight this week shines on Ms. Shanese, an instructional aide from Caryn Elementary. She enjoys learning new skills and strategies to support students and teachers. Whatever tasks need to be done, Ms. Shanese jumps right in to lend a helping hand.
