A Standing Ovation for Our Band Teachers!
When passion meets precision, magic happens—and our band program is proof.

This year, our incredible music teachers—Mr. Peske, Mr. Peralta, Ms. Karbel, Ms. Miller, and Mr. Whitehead—took collaboration and instruction to a whole new level. Each teacher met with their band students in small groups at their school, guiding them through five instrumental pieces with focused, skillful practice.

Their students became so well-prepared that when musicians from four schools finally came together, it took only a few joint rehearsals to blend beautifully into one powerful, unified District Honor Band.

The result? An awe-inspiring performance that filled the room with harmony, heart, and the unmistakable sound of excellence.

Let’s celebrate these remarkable teachers for showing what’s possible when dedication, collaboration, and artistry come together in perfect rhythm!

In observance of Veterans Day, all school offices will be closed and there will be no school on November 10–11.

What a great turnout at Friday’s Author Event: Fairytale Edition! Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and made the evening so magical.

Thank you to the families, Etiwanda staff, and community members who attended last night’s Family Tech Night! The event was a huge success, with over 175 people in attendance. It was an informative evening full of tips and strategies to help families navigate and manage technology.

We are excited to spotlight our AI Task Force! These outstanding educators are coming together to lead our AI journey, making sure it supports both students and staff in meaningful ways. High five to this innovative team for shaping the future of learning!

The Solorio PTA gave a high five to Mr. Hector and Mr. Henry for keeping the Solorio campus shining. Mr. Henry has been a great addition to the team, and both of these hardworking custodians go above and beyond every day. Their dedication and pride in keeping the school clean and welcoming are truly appreciated.

Shout-out to Jameson in Mrs. Day’s class at Lightfoot! His grandma shared how proud she is of her smart, kind, and creative grandson. For day 67 of school, Jameson came up with the idea to make his very own “67” shirt—because, as he says, “6 and 7 are just fun together!” What a great example of creativity and school spirit!

Shout-out to these amazing teachers for taking part in one of the district’s Sparked Sessions! They spent their afternoon planning creative, engaging lessons to bring back to their classrooms. Their dedication keeps learning fresh and exciting for students every day.

High five to the amazing Solorio students who reached their AR goals! They celebrated their hard work and love of reading with a fun bubble party!

Shout out to Milinda from Grapeland Elementary for going above and beyond every day! This 3rd-grade Grizzly is always prepared and ready to learn. An active member of BOB and a proud choir participant, Milinda loves reading so much she dedicated her pumpkin to Splat the Cat for the school contest—and won First Place! She received the GREAT GRIZZLY AWARD for showing empathy toward others. Keep shining, Milinda!

A packed house at EIS for AAPEAC Parent Night! Families gathered to hear guest speaker Dr. Aikens, principal at Rancho Cucamonga High School, share valuable insights and inspiration.

Kickin’ It with Kooyman! Students at West Heritage Elementary had a blast playing soccer with Mr. Kooyman, thanks to an awesome opportunity organized by Mrs. Vittorio. These students earned enough PBIS points and chose to spend them on some fun on the field. What a great way to celebrate positive behavior!

Perdew Elementary’s TK Family Night brought plenty of fun with its lively 50s theme.
