She goes above and beyond to create a smooth and positive dining experience for their students. They appreciate the positive interactions and warm smiles she imparts daily. Ms. Houghton's kindergarten class did a science project based on corn after reading the book "Corn is Maize, the Gift of the Indians" by Aliki. They tried to grow corn from kernels, watching them change over time. Students were able to take home corn kernels and watch them sprout and grow for an at-home experiment! Way to go, Grapeland Grizzlies!
Materials will be on display at every school site and the district office for the public to view until March 7, 2023. We encourage our educational partners to preview the material and submit feedback.
