Time together matters more than time on a screen. Whether it’s playing a game, reading a book, or just talking about the day, family moments help kids grow in ways no device can.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends:
Children ages 2–5 should have no more than 1 hour of screen time per day.
Older children should have consistent limits on screen use.

Let’s trade a little screen time for family time—it makes a big difference.

It’s that time of year—the E3 Fun Run is back! Join us for the 20th Annual E3 Fun Run on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Central Park. This year we’re adding extra excitement with bubbles on the course! 🫧Register by October 3, 2025 to secure your official Fun Run shirt. Sign up on the district website or at bit.ly/E3FunRun25. DVD Movie Donations - Do you have any gently used Rated "G" DVD movies to donate to Caryn Elementary? We will use them on rainy days to play at lunch in the MPR. Please send donations to the Caryn office. Thank you!

Please make sure your Etiwanda App is updated to Version 5.2. This update will fix common issues such as problems signing in, being signed out unexpectedly, or having to log in each time you use the app.

Class Postings - All grades are posted Thursday, July 31 after 4:00 PM. Link to the Class Postings Site to view your child's teacher: https://www3.etiwanda.org/classes/

The Data Confirmation Window is currently open. To obtain your child's teacher assignment, parents need to complete the Data Confirmation process and review the Family-Student Handbook. Visit the district's website or go to Aeries Parent Portal

Teacher assignments will be available using the link on the bottom of the district's homepage according to the following dates:

- Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 4:00 PM for Preschool and TK families

- Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 4:00 PM for Kindergarten - 8th grade families.

Last day of school – Thursday, May 22. All students in grades K – 5 -- 1:15 dismissal. All TK students come to AM session. First day of school for the 2025–26 school year is August 4. Have a wonderful summer!

5th Grade Promotion/Awards Ceremony - Wednesday, May 21 from 8:30-10:00 AM on the Caryn Hardcourt. We will have 300 chairs, but they fill up. Bring a camping chair if you would like.

Kindergarten Parent Show and picnic. Monday, May 19. Show #1 - 8:30 AM. Show #2 - 10:15 AM. Kindergarten picnic 10:45 AM.
