Adjustment of Trustee Area Map Boundaries (In anticipation of November 2022 Board elections)

Revisions to Trustee Areas have no impact on school attendance boundaries. School attendance boundaries are not being changed.

Due to the population growth identified in the Etiwanda School District during the 2020 Census, ESD is required to update Trustee Area Maps. A demographer provided the Board with four Trustee Area map options that comply with the requirements of the California Voting Rights Act and California Education Code Section 5019.5.

The Board of Trustees evaluated and discussed the four Trustee Area map scenarios with adjusted boundaries at the November 18, 2021 Board Meeting. The Board selected two maps for further consideration and public input. The Board will receive public input on the two maps at the Board Meetings on December 16, 2021 and January 20, 2022.  The Board will vote to select an updated map at the January 20, 2022 Board Meeting. Following the selection by the Board, the map will be submitted to the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters to be used for the November 2022 Board elections.
